Corporate Communities - Paid Volunteerism

Welcome!  If you are exploring this page, chances are your employer or medical provider(s) have recommended you as a candidate for transitional or modified duty work assignment in a paid volunteer position.

Your Work Bridge Group team is here to help. It has been our pleasure to assist a great number of injured workers, employers and volunteer service organizations in coordinating light duty work that makes a huge positive difference in your own local community.

Employer sponsored return-to-work programs differ by state and corporate culture. However, most have one thing in common - the goal to help employees recovery from work injury and return to the best jobs possible. The Work Bridge Group is part of that process. From locating good volunteer assignment matches to handling paperwork for your employer and/or workers’ compensation insurance company, we are excited to be a part of your recovery.

Have questions about working as a paid volunteer?

The best place to get real-time answers about light duty program details is your employer. Typically, the option to work off-site in a paid volunteer capacity is part of an employer’s ongoing return-to-work program. If your employer is new to the idea, invite them to learn more by requesting a free consult now.

Community service organizations may have questions, too.

While most nonprofits and community service organizations are eager to find volunteer help, care must be taken when accepting new human resources. Before receiving the green light to volunteer, you may be asked to come in for an interview, fill out a volunteer application, or describe your qualifications and your background just as you would at an interview for a paying job. It is in the organization's interest and more beneficial to the people it serves to make certain you have the skills needed, that you are truly committed to doing the work. This is especially true of volunteer work involving children or other at-risk populations, there are legal ramifications for the organization to consider.
